Some of the fancier cars out there have GPS systems built into the dashboard which makes getting around even easier. Just key in where you want to go and you’ll get a visual map marking the exact route you should take. Voice directions make following the map even easier.

Those who have been lucky enough to experience the joys of travelling in a vehicle with GPS will be able to testify as to how simple it makes navigation. When you have a digital map in front of you with the route already set out, you can’t go wrong. With voice commands, you’d have to be an idiot to get lost.

As modern technology keeps improving, we are always being provided with ways to make our lives easier. After the desktop computer came the laptop. After the telephone came the mobile phone, and so on and so on. GPS is the digital technology that solves all our navigation needs.

If you have a song library on your computer then you can create customized iPhone ringtones for your iPhone.  All that you need to use is your computer and iTunes – no hacking software involved.  It’s a little bit complicated but if you take it step-by-step you’ll end up with your own choice of ringtones.  

Here’s how:

Step 1. Open iTunes.

Step 2. Right click on any song you want to utilise to create your new iPhone ring tone. Select GET INFO.

Step 3. Go to your OPTIONS tab, and in the menu check the START TIME and STOP TIME checkboxes. Put in a thirty second or less segment of the song into these times. Click OK.

Step 4. Right click on your song section. Select CONVERT SELECTION TO AAC.

Step 5. When it has finished converting your song section, go to your iTunes music folder. Browse to your song segment and drag it to your desktop.

Step 6. Now you need to delete your clipped song segment from your iTunes music folder.

Step 7. Back at your desktop, right click on your song, and click GET INFO.

Step 8. Change the extension at the end of the file name to .M4r.

Step 9. Double click the file. This’ll include it in your ringtones section of your iTunes library.

Step 10. Synchronize your iPhone with iTunes.

You now have a new customized iPhone ringtone on your iPhone.
